Norwich - Rose C. Perrone of Norwich, wife of Vincent "Jim" Perrone, went to be with her heavenly Father on April 3, 2013.

Rose was born in Norwich, on Dec. 16, 1920, the daughter of the late Peter and Domenica (Pescitello) Culotta. Rose attended local schools and graduated from Norwich Free Academy with the class of 1939. She worked at F.W. Woolworth, Hamilton Standard, Walter T. Camp & Sons Insurance Co., and Emmons Department Store.
In 1950, Rose married Vincent "Jim" Perrone at St. Peter & Paul Church in Norwich.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Norwichtown, the Rosary Altar Society, Council of Catholic Women, and AARP #1104. Rose belonged to The William W. Backus Hospital Auxiliary and also volunteered at the hospital. In addition, she volunteered with the American Red Cross and the office at Sacred Heart Church.
Rose is survived by her husband, Jim; two daughters, Betty Choate and her husband, Jim, of Olympia, Wash., JoAnn Fadeley and her husband, Jake, of Katy, Texas; four grandchildren, Susan and Ryan Choate, Jillian and Sean Fadeley; her sister, Peg Stanley of Norwich; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Mario Culotta of Hartord, and Joseph Culotta of Memphis, Tenn.; and a sister, Josephine DeSantis of New London.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Sacred Heart Church in Norwichtown. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rose's honor to the Norwich Senior Center, 8 Mahan Drive, Norwich, CT 06360.
