Montville - Christine A. Gillespie, 50, of Raymond Hill Road, Uncasville, died at her home on Tuesday, May 7, 2013.

On Oct. 31, 1962, she was born in Norwich, the daughter of Linda C. (Canfield) Wielachowski of Waterford and the late Gary T. Wielachowski.

Christine has worked as a dental hygienist for the past thirty years and was currently working at Dr. Mark Kozlowski's Dental Office in Uncasville. She was very passionate about her profession and took great pride in her work.

She was a kind, caring, compassionate person with a great sense of humor and a warm smile. She was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and enjoyed assembling puzzles. In the winters she would spend much of her time in New Hampshire riding snowmobiles. She loved the outdoors and especially liked the smell of pine trees.

Christine was a loving mother, sister, daughter and friend and her memory will live in our hearts forever.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Michael G. Gillespie of Oakdale; sister, Mary E. Nelson and husband, David, of Uncasville; brother, Thomas E. Wielachowski and wife, Stacey, of Waterford; grandmother, Elsie Canfield of New London; boyfriend of many years, Shawn Towne of Ledyard; and nieces and nephews, Stephanie Nelson, and Evan, Riley and Bryan Wielachowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, at St. John Church, meeting directly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 11 Jerome Road, Uncasville.
