On Oct. 17, 2013, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
In her spare time, she painted pictures in oil. Several are on display at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London. She belonged to St. Gerardi Mothers Circle where she enjoyed playing bingo with the elderly and donating to the soup kitchen.
