Nancy Klocker Obituary
She was born in 1928, to Merian and Arthur Brittine of Milford. She attended Milford schools, graduating in 1945. She then received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Bridgeport.
In 1951, she married Carlton L. Klocker Jr. of New Britain, and they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in 2013. He survives her.
Nancy worked for the Fafner Bearing Co., for a short period and then started her teaching career in Virginia at Clarksville Elementary School and then Bluestone High School. In 1951, she returned to Connecticut and taught for many years at Old Saybrook Junior High School. In addition to teaching, Nancy was known as an outstanding silversmith, featuring one of a kind cast large, bold design jewelry. Through the years she also found time to do volunteer work at the Lyme Library and at the Middlesex Memorial Hospital Thrift Shop in Old Saybrook.
The Klockers spent most of their time living in Lyme and East Lyme, but also lived for a short period in New Britain, Old Saybrook, and East Haddam. Nancy will be remembered as a loving wife, dedicated teacher, and a person of many interests.
There will be no public services, and funeral arrangements will be held at the discretion of the family.
The Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Klocker I was very sorry to hear of Nancy passing. I enjoyed my time getting to know the both of you. The love you shared was very apparent. My sympathy is with you at this time of loss.

Dear Mr. Klocker,
So sorry to hear of your loss. I hope that you will recall a wonderful 62 years of married life.You were my Biology teacher @ WHS IN 1961 and I remember you as a great teacher.
