Willard C. Kline

1928 - 2012

Willard (Will) Kline, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully. Born in Pasadena, Calif., Will attended Elliott Junior High and Pasadena City College. He enlisted in the Navy and proudly served on the USS Segundo, SS398. Will married Donna Hughes, also of Pasadena, and moved to San Dimas, Calif. He was a draftsman for the aerospace industry and worked on designs for the NASA Apollo Lunar Program. Later, he ventured into other professions in business management and retired to La Quinta - he loved desert living. Will was a "people" person. He had a passion for life and touched the lives of everyone that he knew. He was active in his community and served as a volunteer with the La Quinta Police Department. He was an avid aviation enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. His warmth, laugh, good nature, kind-heart and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all. Will is survived by his wife, Donna; mother, Edna Brown; children, Kathleen Kline Ehrsam and Kevin C. Kline (wife Lynda); grandchildren, Kristine Ehrsam Paredes and Keith Kline (wife Courtney); great-grandchildren, Amber, Cristian and Sebastian Paredes; two sisters and brothers. A private memorial service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Palm Springs USO, or your favorite charity. Forever in our hearts! We love you and will sorely miss you.
