Anne J. Kubik
Anne J. Kubik, 97, of Indio, Calif., passed away peacefully at home with her daughters at her side, on February 17, 2013. She was born in Aliquippa, Penn., on January 6, 1916 to Charles and Violet Puskaric. Anne was the second of six children, all of whom are deceased, Diane Spivak, Stella Turgovic, Zora Plevel, George Puskaric, and Joseph Puskaric. Anne was an active member of St. Titus Catholic Church in Aliquippa. In June of 1937, she married the late Anthony J. Kubik, who was the Prothonotary of Beaver County, Penn., for 16 years. In 1990, Anne relocated to California to be closer to her immediate family and she resided with her daughter, Rosemary. Anne was a devoted, caring, kind, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. All who knew her admired the kindness she showed to all she met. Surviving Anne are her daughters, Rosemary J. Piper of Indio and Carol Ann Trueman of Palm Desert, Calif., and two granddaughters, Lisa Ann (Sean) Savala, and Christine Piper (Keith) McDonald of Orange, Calif. Anne also leaves her four great-grandchildren, Ryan Anthony, Brett Andrew, Alyssa Rose Savala, and Sarah Ann McDonald. In addition, she leaves many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation and rosary service will be on Thursday, February 28, 2013, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Forest Lawn Indio. Father James McLaughlin will celebrate a mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 1, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in La Quinta, Calif. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange. In lieu of flowers, please have a mass said in Anne's name or make donations to the Shelter From The Storm Palm Desert or the
