Anthony Hahalis Obituary

Anthony T. Hahalis, 58, of Palm Springs, Calif. died on June 6, 2010 at home. Tony was born in Fountain Hill on May 8, 1952, son of the late Stamatis and Alice (Rossos) Hahalis. He attended American University and Penn State. Tony was owner of We The People, a bar/ performing venue, a manager of Wedgewood Golf Course and a Realtor before joining United Airlines in 1984. He worked at the Dallas-Ft Worth and Burbank Airports before finally settling in Palm Springs, falling in love with its climate and beauty, in 1998. He was an avid golfer and bowler his entire life. He attended St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Bethlehem. Anthony is survived by his brother, George T. Hahalis and wife Jamie Bongiovi of Bethlehem; three nieces, Sara, Alexis and Chelsea; nephew, Corey; and great-niece, Taylor Hall. Tony Hahalis Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday October 30, 2010 from 10-11:00 AM in the Mesquite Room at the Spa Resort Casino, 100 N. Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toThe American Heart Association.

Tony was my dearest and close friend, my hunband Weldon and I meet Tony about 8 to 10 years ago and for the past five years we meet Tony about four days every morning three to four mornings each week and we always had a lively discussion.
Tony, Weldon and I took many trips to our favorite place Laughlin,Nevada
When I had a business trip out-of-town Weldon and Tony always had breakfast together
This wonderful man will be missed by all of his close friends in the Coachella Valley.
