Beulah Hahn Obituary

Beulah Hahn, 94, of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., passed away at Mountain View Manor on September 5, 2010 of natural causes. She was born Beulah Henson on July 2, 1916 to William and Olena Henson in Monet, Mo., where she grew up with her sisters Vera, Ogretta and Wanda, and her brother Raymond. Her small but deeply loved family that survives her includes her sister, Wanda Jones of Bourbon, Mo.; her son, William G. Baker of Folsom, Calif.; her granddaughter, Sharri Anderson and husband Doug of Geneseo, N.Y.; and her two great-granddaughters, Emily and Georgia. Bea was incredibly blessed to have three loves in her life, all of whom sadly predeceased her: James Baker, her first husband of over 50 years; Frank Conway, her husband of ten years; and her most recently cherished and lost husband Leroy Hahn. Bea worked for 17 years at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) in Sacramento, Calif., and after she retired, she and James relocated to their desert property in Desert Hot Springs. Bea worked for many years in the office of nearby Sky Valley Park, and after James passed away, she moved to Sky Valley where she lived happily for over two decades. Open-hearted, generous, quick-witted and funny, Bea loved spending time with the many friends she made throughout her lifetime, and she enjoyed cooking, playing cards, going to garage sales, and traveling. Most of all, she loved the desert and she loved her family. A Celebration Service of Bea's life will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Force Hall in Sky Valley Park, 74711 Dillon Road, Desert Hot Springs, CA. Inurnment will be in Pierce City Cemetery, Pierce City, Mo. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Foundation for His Ministry, P.O. Box 74000, San Clemente, CA 92673-0134.
