Dear Mrs. Bonweg and Family,
I knew David from our days together at Sycamore. He has been on my mind since our first class reunion. We just had our 35th last night and I was so very sad to hear of his passing. He was my "boyfriend" in 8th grade and continued to be a great friend throughout high school. One year I called you in California trying to find him for one of our reunions. He was such a wonderful person whose smile could light up the room. You and your family will remain in my prayers.
Love,

Like so many others who were drawn to David by his charm, kindness, the love that he showed his Father, and his warmth, I am deeply grieved and bewildered by his unexpected death. The world has lost someone very special. Please accept my deepest sympathy on your sad loss.
