Elroy Schwartz Obituary
Elroy Schwartz quietly left us on June 14, 2013. On June 23, 2013 he would have been 90. Born in Passiac, N.J., he moved to the Bronx where he attended school. At N.Y.U. Elroy joined the Air Force, he served two years as a flight engineer. Elroy then joined his family in Los Angeles where he wrote for radio, then moved to N.Y. writing for television. He wrote comedy interviews for popular quiz show hosts during the 1950s. Back in L.A. Elroy became a well known television writer for situation comedy and drama. He has more than 500 credits. (Google Elroy Schwartz) Elroy is survived by his wife Beryl of 67 years, daughters Nan Marcia Schwartz and Jil Moramarco, son-in-law Jack Moramarco and granddaughter Kara. In his heart you will always find Lee, Jon, and Joa. Elroy lived in Palm Springs for over 30 years. If you met him, you always remember him by his fluffy white side burns and mustache.

I met him and yourself many years ago when we all played tennis at Mulholland Tennis Club. May he rest in peace!

dear beryl:
what fun we all had at the racquet club back in the eighties. elroy was larger than life and loved his tennis. i remmember him helping me with my backhand during one of his mental sessions. what a fine gentleman that we will all miss.
