Frank Schutt Obituary

Frank Alvin Schutt, died peacefully on November 2, 2012 in Palm Desert, Calif., after battling lung cancer. He was born on May 25, 1922 to Christian Ownen Alvin Schutt and Leona Porter, in Greenvill, Mich. Frank served in the Navy in WWII as a pilot. After the war he married Jane L. Mersereau and had two children Christy Ann and Edwin Alvin. Frank was a sheet metal fabricator for North American Corp. He went to West Coast University where he earned his engineering degree and moved up the ladder at North American. He worked on the Minuteman, Saturn, Apollo, and the Space Shuttle programs. He was preceded in death by Jane L. Schutt. He is survived by his daughter Christy (Tom) Di Leo of Belmonte Shores, Calif., his son Edwin (Jeannie) Schutt of Palm Desert, Calif., 5 grandchildren, and leaves behind a special companion of his last years, Rolly Torres. Services will be at 1 pm on November 23, 2012 at J P L Church, Rancho Mirage, Calif. Memorial services to follow at 2:15 at Atria Hacienda, Palm Desert, Calif. Burial will be at 1 pm on November 24, 2012 at Rose Hills, Whittier, Calif.
