Maria Mejorado Obituary

Maria G. Mejorado, 71, of Coachella, Calif. passed away November 22, 2010 of natural causes. She was born April 11, 1939 to Jesus Muniz-Lopez and Ines Aguilera-Orozco in San Gregorio, Michoacan, Mexico. She married Vicente Mejorado on August 15, 1960 in Mexicali, B.C. Mexico. She was an agricultural laborer for 35 years and a homemaker for 50 years. Survivors include her husband, Vicente Mejorado; daughter, Mina Felix; sons, Gabriel Mejorado, Alfredo Mejorado, Isidor Mejorado, and Vicente Mejorado, Jr.; sisters, Antonia Muniz, Anita Esquivel, Gloria Hernandez, Maria Jesus de la Cruz; and brother, Santos Muniz. Maria also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5-9:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM, on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Pentecostal Church of Philadelphia, 82-542 Ave 49, Coachella, CA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 3, 2010 also at Pentecostal Church of Philadelphia. Burial will take place at the Coachella Valley Cemetery with Casillas Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
