Marie Ford Obituary

Marie Ford, born 1923 in Pennsylvania, went to heaven on October 7, 2010. She was anxious to go without fear as she knew her citizenship was in heaven. Marie loved to share her faith and tell others of the plan of salvation. Marie and her husband Bill Ford operated the First Hotel and Restaurant supply store in Palm Springs for over 30 years. She was active in her church, a member of Gideons auxiliary for 35 years, past president of Palm Springs soroptimist, and a member of Forest Home Auxiliary. Marie was a realtor for over 25 years and first ever honorary lifetime member of the Palm Desert Board of Realtors. She was preceded in death by husband, Bill Ford; and a daughter, Ardell Ford Wagner. Survived by son, Don B. Ford and his wife, Yvonne; three grand-children; seven great-grandchildren. "In his presence is fullness of joy, at his right hand pleasures forevermore." Psalms 16:11 A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the Sunset View Clubhouse, Palm Desert Sun City (Oasis Room).
