Marjorie Kellogg Obituary

Marjorie Anne Kellogg passed away on November 27, 2010, in Vancouver, Wash. She was 84. Margie was born in Portland, Ore. on November 14, 1926 to Emma and Emil Borg and resided in the Vancouver area for most of her life. She attended business school and later worked at Pearson Airpark, where she met her husband, Charles W. Kellogg. Every year on their anniversary they celebrated the occasion by visiting with Rev. Bob Waller, the minister who officiated at their wedding. The couple enjoyed spending time working on their boat, visiting Ashland, Ore. for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and traveling south in their RV. Margie's individual interests included reading, gardening, tending to her beloved dogs, working crossword puzzles, homemaking and cooking special meals for her family and friends. She will be remembered most for her elegance, grace and generosity. Margie is survived by her son, Chuck (Trish) Kellogg; daughter, Virginia (Jerry) Rosette; two sisters, Betty Still and Anne Shefchek; daughter-in-law, Patty Kellogg; grandchildren, Jerry Jr., Julie and David, Carol and Douglas, Chuck III, Sue, Chris, Tauni and Carly, Ryan and Shannon; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her son, Frederic D. "Rick" Kellogg; and daughter, Patricia C. Kellogg. Private services will be held for family members. The family suggests that donations be made to the local Humane Society.

Her smiles and warmth were always looked forward to. Margie was what I call a felicitous person. "You always were happier after seeing her than before". She will be missed.
