Rebecca Lindstrom Obituary

Our angel has been called to heaven. Rebecca "Becky" Lee Lindstrom, born January 17, 1990 passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 20 years of age. Becky graduated from Palm Springs High School. She volunteered for many noble causes, including the Coachella Valley Animal Campus, Save-a-Pet program at PetSmart and the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert. Becky aspired to be a pastry chef as she loved to bake. Becky was a loving, caring, young woman, always by your side and ready to offer a helping hand. Her love for her family and friends poured in the form of her big hugs. Her favorite events were family gatherings, holidays and dressing up for her prom. She loved all animals and had several over the years, including her special cats Zadie and Smokey. Becky, as all kids her age, enjoyed shopping at the mall. She enjoyed swimming, playing computer games and she was known as the "Facebook Queen". Poetry was another of her passions and she published many pieces in the Literary Journal at her high school. She certainly had a lust for life and having fun. Becky always commanded attention the moment she walked into a room, until the moment she left. Rebecca is survived by her father Ronald, mother Elizabeth, brother Christopher and sister Denise. She is also survived by both sets of living grandparents, June and Herb Lockwood and grandfather Leon G. Lindstrom, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins, whom she Facebooked with on a regular basis. A memorial service was held for Becky's friends and locals on November 12th, at her Palm Desert Home. Another memorial service will be held in Orange County for family and friends in that area. Dear Rebecca, you left us wonderful memories, your dreams, hopes, laughs and love. Though we cannot see you, you will always be by our side. It is with great love and sadness we say goodbye to our beautiful daughter. We love you very much and you will be deeply missed by everyone whose life you touched.
