Anastacio R. Moreno
Anastacio "Tano" Moreno, 77 of Indio, Calif. went home to be with his Lord on April 23, 2012. Tano was born in Chijol 17, Vera Cruz, Mexico on May 2, 1934. He is survived by his loving wife Lupe of 60 years, son Tano (Alice), daughters Lydia Luna (Juan), Ana, Sylvia Pimentel (Danny), Sally (Paul), sons Mario (Gretchen), Jose Luis (Eva). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He came to the United States in 1949, where he met and fell in love with Guadalupe Villarreal. They were married in O'Donnell, Texas on December 2, 1951. They settled in Indio, Calif. in 1960 where he worked as a truck driver for Pino Ruiz Trucking Company and other trucking companies until he started his own Landscaping Company in 1973. He semi retired in 2010. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working on his classic cars and enjoyed going to casinos. Services to celebrate Tano's life will be held at Forest Lawn in Coachella on Sunday April 29, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. Services will be on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 9 a.m. at Forest Lawn in Coachella, Calif. Interment will follow immediately at Coachella Valley Cemetery. Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuaries are in charge of arrangements.
