Roy F. Messier passed away with a long history of heart disease on March 4, 2013. He was born on November 26, 1931 in Worcester, Mass., to Angelique and Joseph Messier. He was one of eleven children and is survived by two sisters; Emily Prieskorn of Longmont, Colo., Rita Titus of Brooklyn, N. Y., and many nephews and nieces. He was in the Navy for four years during the Korean Conflict and served some time on Guam. After the Navy he became a hair dresser and worked in New York City. He moved to Los Angeles in 1975 and to Palm Springs in 1980. He Attended C. O. D. Culinary School and became a Chef at a French Restaurant in Palm Desert. While attending Religious Science Church in Palm Desert he studied Science of Mind and in 1990 he became a practitioner under Dr. Tom. He authored two books, "The Power of Control Thought" and "Bedtime Thoughts". He will be missed by his many friends, and especially his caregiver and friend Andre Yan.
