Barry L Gehret, of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., passed away November 15, 2013. Barry was born March 1, 1939 in Reading, Pa. to Helen and Ralph Gehret. Barry is survived by his wife Tonya and his sisters, Shirley Reinert of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Nancy Neisanger of Reading, Pa., as well as his faithful companion "Rocky". After graduating from Reading High School Barry enlisted in the Marine Corps and later became a motor coach operator from which he retired in 1989. Barry and his wife moved to the desert in 1992, a place he always considered to be "God's Country". Barry was a semi-pro bowler and was an enthusiastic golfer. Barry's three holes-in-one were highlights of his golfing days playing first at Palm Desert Country Club and most recently at Santa Rosa Golf Club. Because of his love for dogs, particularly rescues, he would be pleased to have donations made in his name to the Humane Society of the Desert, P.O. Box 2922, Palm Springs 92262.
