Alfred Leiber Obituary
Alfred Leiber, 80, of Navasota passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at his home. A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 20, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, at Zion Lutheran Church in Anderson with Rev. Dan Schoessow officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Alfred was born in Anderson, on January 14, 1930, to Fritz and Emma (Tuckhorn) Leiber. He married Dorothy Louise Becker on December 16, 1951, in White Hall, and the two enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Mr. Leiber worked as a truck driver, for T.J. Haynie and W.R. Shive before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Hilda Molitor; and brothers-in-law, Walter Molitor and Norbert H. Becker.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Becker Leiber of Navasota; cousin, Rosie Finke of White Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Larry Finke of Conroe, Douglas Finke of Katy, Lynn Pieper and Onis Finke of Brenham, Charles Leiber of Navasota, and Frank Smith of Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Zion Lutheran Church.
