George Forrest Ashley, 72, of Bryan passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013. A Memorial Service is set for 10 a.m. Friday, October 11, in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.
Born August 2, 1941 in Lubbock, Texas he is the son of George Lee and Millie (Ferguson) Ashley. George served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. George enjoyed fishing, motorcycle racing, gardening and most especially reading. He was a retired teacher and taught at Blinn College in Bryan and Brenham. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His parents preceded him in death.
George leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Norma Borne-Ashley; one daughter, Lisa Beth Ashley; four step sons, Anthony Curda and wife Rachel, Robert Curda and wife Claudia, Mark Curda and wife Stephanie, and Daniel Curda; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
