Ricky D. Carroll, Jr., 24, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Memorial services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1611 Villa Maria Rd. in Bryan, Texas.
Ricky Darnell Carroll, Jr. was born November 22, 1988 in Jacksonville, Texas to Ricky and Pamela Carroll, the family later moved to Bryan, Texas. Upon graduating from Bryan High School Ricky Jr. moved in with his sister Courtney to begin college. His younger brother and best friend, Jonathan "JP" moved in with him when he graduated high school.
Ricky received his secular education from Bryan High School. After high school graduation he attended Texas A&M University. Ricky graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bioenvironmental Science. After graduation he was employed at Energy Laboratories where he worked as a lab technician until his death. Ricky always put kingdom interest and his spiritual education above all else. He made the decision and symbolized his dedication to his Heavenly Father, Jehovah on June 19, 2004. Years later he was appointed to serve as a ministerial servant in the Caldwell Congregation. He faithfully served in this capacity until his passing away.
Ricky, Jr. loved life, his radiant smile and personality brought joy and happiness to everyone he met. He could light up a room and always left a warm impression. It was just his nature to always put others needs before his own, going out of his way to help anyone that needed him and for that, everyone loved him.
He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, Ricky and Pamela Carroll; siblings, Courtney and Jonathan "JP" Carroll; grandparents, Malvin and Shirley Carroll; great-grandmother, Frankie R. White; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving relatives and friends.
