Michael Daniell, 31, of Bryan, passed away on Sunday, April 29, in Bryan. Family will receive family and friends during visiting hours on Thursday, May 3 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 4 at the funeral home. Dr. David Higgs will officiate, assisted by Curtis Woodliff. Interment will be in Little River Cemetery in Milam County. Hillier Funeral Home is entrusted to his care.
Michael was born to Mike and Mary Jo (Widdison) Daniell in Bryan. He graduated from Bryan High in 1999. During high school he excelled in gymnastics including being on State and National Champion teams. Michael had a strong love of the outdoors, often he was found fishing, golfing, hunting and participating in any kind of water sports possible. Not only did he love the land but had a great passion for bowling and sky diving.
He was a member of Ducks Unlimited. Michael was gifted for the love of motorcycles and racing. Michael was devoted to his daughter, Kylie and his special family Aurean and daughter, Malia. He found his faith in Jesus in and through the Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death are his father, Roger Michael Daniell of Austell, GA; his grandfathers, Lee Widdison Sr and Orvil K. Freeman of Bryan and Oscar "Pop" Chappell of Calvert; grandmother, Sara Daniell of Powder Springs, GA and uncle, Mark Daniell of Powder Springs, GA.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Kylie; his parents, Oscar and Mary Jo Chappell; his brothers, Brad and wife Acey Chappell, Patrick and wife Tracie Daniell-Chappell; his sister, Angela and husband Sam Brown; Tammi Daniell; his close companion and friend, Aurean and daughter, Malia all of Bryan; his nieces; his nephews; other relatives and close friends.
In respect of Michael's overwhelming love and devotion to children, the family requests, with gratitude, that in lieu of customary remembrances, donations in Michael's name be directed to Northview Baptist Church, 1809 Tabor Road, Bryan, TX 77803 or First Baptist Church, 3100 Cambridge Drive, Bryan, TX 77803 in care of Children's Ministries.
