Nancy was born July 8, 1940 in Bryan, the daughter of Thomas E. & Catheryne (Loven) McAfee. She was a long time resident of College Station and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She was a very proud Aggie Staff Member for the past 32 years. She retired from Texas A&M in 2007 as the Administrative Assistant for Student Government Association (SGA) within the Department of Student Activities. She was an advisor, mentor and friend to many Aggies, including 13 student body presidents whose activities and schedules she coordinated as they served their term of office.
Her Aggies knew where to go for a loving heart and a listening ear. She also served as an advisor to FISH Aides, a freshman student organization within SGA. She was known affectionately around campus as Ms. Nancy. She was a Fish Camp namesake and received numerous awards submitted on her behalf by students and peers. Prior to her retirement in 2007, she was the recipient of the "John J. Koldus Student Services Award" and "The Division of Student Affairs Staff Award".
Ms. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, John Thornton.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy A. Frisbie of Philadelphia, Penn; and her two grandsons, Clayton and Collin Frisbie, who were the light of her life and made her smile just thinking about them. She is also survived by her sister, Ginny Pittman; brother and sister-in-law, James and Kayla McAfee; and four nephews, Douglas Thornton, Tom, Alan and Eric McAfee, numerous cousins and many dear friends. She also is survived by her four-legged companion "Miss Molly."
