Roy Lee Curtis, 55, of Somerville, passed away Friday, November 21, 2008, in Somerville. Services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, November 28 at Brazos Valley Community Church of God with Rev. Stanley Smith officiating. Interment will follow at College Station City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Jones and Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Mr. Curtis was retired from the City of College Station.
Mr. Curtis is preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucinda Curtis; father, Joe Willie Johnson; step-father, John Tyson Flora, two brothers, Ray Curtis and Danny Carl; two sisters, Patricia Curtis and JoeEllen Keith; and grandson, Nicholas Curtis.
Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Curtis of Somerville; mother, Rosie "Romie" Wynn of Paris, Tenn.; daughters, Felicia Stubblefield of Atlanta, Tanjala Bernal and Patricia Brown, both of Somerville; brothers, Gene Johnson of Taylor, Texas, Randall Curtis, John Flora and Terry Flora all of Dresden, Tenn., Lonnie Johnson Jr. and Bobby Johnson, both of Mc Kenzie, Tenn.; sisters, Ana Moya of Somerville, Sherry Foulks of Huntington, Tenn., Linda Wright, Laura Curtis, and Johnnie Flora, all of Dresden, Tenn., Judy Iturmendi of Marietta, Ga., Gail Diggs, Sandra Jonson and Larleen Thomas, all of McKenzie, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
