Leola Brooks Obituary
Leola Robinson Brooks, 58, of Bryan, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009, at her residence.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, December 11, at Jones-Washington Mortuary.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, at St. Luke Baptist Church in Hempstead with the Rev. Carl William officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery.
Leola was born on July 14, 1951, in Waller County to Wilson and Annie Mae Gillum Robinson. She graduated from George Washington High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University in 1975.
Leola enjoyed a long and proud career in nursing. She had most recently been employed with Brazos Valley Home Health Service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Peggy Smart Davis.
Survivors include her daughters, Andrea and Candance; two brothers, two sisters and her grandchildren, Tyler and Kayla; and numerous other family and friends.
