June 11, 1979 – April 30, 2012
Jeremy Louis Barta, 32, of Austin, left this world for the greater glory in Heaven on Monday, April 30, 2012. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at St. William Catholic Church in Round Rock, Texas. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Praha, Texas.
Jeremy was born June 11, 1979 in Pasadena, Texas and was deeply loved by his family. While quiet, his enjoyment of life was one of his more outstanding qualities. He was very passionate for his many diverse and varied hobbies. Jeremy was an accomplished chef who could produce nicely eclectic, savory dishes. His desserts were often the hit of family get-togethers.
He knew a tremendous amount of movie and sports trivia, especially baseball and football, and followed his beloved Aggies almost religiously. If Jeremy found something he liked, he made sure he learned everything about it. Jeremy was energetic about helping people. Many friends have come forward to mention how much he affected their lives. He was the one they went to for advice and help. However, Jeremy's greatest passion was reserved for his two young sons, Ethan and Corbin.
Whether teaching them the finer aspects of creating a Lego model, taking them to a movie, or just teaching them the tricks behind their favorite video games, he loved the time he spent with them. They were his greatest pleasure in life. Jeremy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A life long learner, Jeremy was educated at Texas A&M, Austin Community College, and received a degree from the Texas Culinary Institute. He was very active in St. Bernadette Catholic Church where he served as a youth leader. At the time of his death, he was employed as a regional manager at Mr. Gatti's Pizza. He truly enjoyed the culinary business and had intended on starting his own pizza restaurant. Pizza was just one more of his many passions in life.
He is survived by his sons, Ethan Jacob Barta, and Corbin Louis Barta; his parents Kenneth and Louisa Barta; and mother, Rebecca Barta; his sister, Teri Sanford Mason; his brothers, Kenneth Sanford and Joshua Barta and their respective families.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Sanford, Joshua Barta, Brian Hartfield, Rodney Hartfield, Daniel Hartfield, William Mason.
