August 16, 1925 – May 2, 2012

Mary Frances Potts, 86, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Central Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.

Mary was born August 16, 1925 in Clarksville, AR to Bud and Viola Willett. She was for many years a worker and owner of Potts Jewelry, a pink lady at St. Joseph, and Sunday school teacher for 25 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and will be missed by numerous family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles R. Potts; brothers Edward Willett, Lewis Willett, Darius Willett, and Forrest Willett.

Survivors include her children Marianne Welch of Bryan, Jerry Taylor Potts of Pasadena, Charles Robert "Robbie" Potts III and wife Elia of Corpus Christi,; grandchildren Charles Robert Potts IV and Austin Louetta Potts; great-grandchildren Abigail Potts and Layla Potts all of Corpus Christi; niece Carol Pyatt of Bay City.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Bob Wolfert and the nurses and doctors at St. Joseph Regional Health Center for their endless compassion and care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley at 502 W. 26th Street Bryan, TX 77803, the at 3207 Briarcrest Dr. Bryan, TX 77802, or Central Church of Christ at 1600 E. 29th Street bryan, TX 77802.

Mary was OUR angel…She loved God, her family, and friends with all her heart. Her passion for her loved ones was undeniable. She was "Our Rock", our sound voice, the one that made us feel safe and sure.
