Roman G. Duran, 88, of College Station, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012. A time for family to receive friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Roman was born May 4, 1924 in San Marcos to Roman and Maria Duran. He spent a great deal of his life as a truck driver.

Left behind from his passing are three sons, Ernest Duran of Bryan, Robert Duran of Austin and Rick Duran of Houston; and five daughters, Connie Garcia of Houston, Yolanda Duran of Bryan, Gloria Sanchez of Bryan, Maria Duran of Bryan and Isabel Castro of Bryan. Also left behind are his 37 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; and his three sisters, Rosa Castro and Janie Vasquez, both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Julia Rocha of San Angelo.
