Paula Gail Rasberry, age 69, of Bryan went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10:30 am at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. David Murphy, pastor officiating with interment to follow at College Station City Cemetery.

Paula was born July 19, 1942 in Bryan to Walter and Bess (Akin) Maddox. She was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in 1960. Preceding her in death was a three year old son, Nathan in 1973 and her father, W. O. Maddox in 2011.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Rasberry of Bryan; her two sons, Jason Rasberry of Iola and Kevin Rasberry and her mother, Bess Maddox of Bryan. Also surviving Paula are her two sisters, Pam Bayne of Prosper and Pattie Bright of Marble Falls.

Pallbearers are Rudy Garcia, Matt Walton, Clint Van Etten, Hadley Havel, Randy Threadgill and J. C. Enloe. Honorary Pallbearers are Morris Maddox, Jim Bayne, Dunning Bright, Chuck Tucker, Jay Bynum, Michael Koenecke and Richard Elliott.

Although it has been since 1958 that I last saw or had contact with Paula, I have never stopped thinking of her (and probably never will). She was a wonderful and beautiful lady. I regret not being able to see her once again before her passing.
