GREENVILLE — Betty Davis Hood, 93, passed away on March 15, 2024.
Born on October 1, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Edna Watson Davis.
Betty was known for her sweet personality and kind heart that touched the lives of many around her. She graduated from Liberty High School in the class of '49, where she was voted Class Beauty Queen and High Miss by her peers.
Betty also found joy in dancing, and enjoying life. She was a a poll manager for the county, and she also was a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Monigan Chapter.
Betty is survived by her grandson, her cousin Carol Stancil (Rachel) of Pendleton; and a special friend Roy Watkins of Greenville.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James Buddy Hood, their son Danny Hood, as well as her parents Clarence and Edna Watson Davis.
Services to honor and celebrate Betty's life will be held on March 18, 2024. The visitation will take place at Robinson Funeral Home Downtown in Easley from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM followed by a Graveside Service at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northside United Methodist Church, 435 Summit Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
