EASLEY — Mrs. Naomi O'Shields Reynolds, 103, wife of the late James Champion Reynolds, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, August 16, 2024.
Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Grady O'Shields and the late Eva Waldrop Trotter. Naomi was employed with SWIRL Manufacturing for many years and retired from American Enka. She was a member of Norris First Baptist Church for fifty-nine years.
Naomi loved gardening, sewing and quilting, but her greatest love was for her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew her.
Surviving are her Son, James "Jimmy" Reynolds (Suzy) of Anderson; her two daughters, Shirley Traynham of Spruce Pine, NC, and Sarah Corum of Greenville; a sister, Barbara Jane Sloan of Greenville; her grandchildren, Deborah Owings (James), Steven Traynham (Julie), Lisa Bryant, Scott Bishop (Lisa), Randy Bishop (Bonnie), Cheryl Bagwell, Joe Griffin, Tim Reynolds (Michelle) and Karen Heroux (Guillame); her great-grandchildren, Kara Woody (Robert), Sierra Shepherd (Zack), Kourtni Traynham, Madison Bryant, Jonathan Bryant, Casey Myles (John), Zach Bishop (Leslie), J.P. Dyer, Cody Dyer (Anne), Ashley Dyer, Devin Reynolds, Kayla Reynolds and Sage Heroux; and her great-great-grandchildren, Kinslee, Becca, Amelia, Monty, Sutton and Collin.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Reynolds was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Griffin; a son-in-law, Donnie Traynham; four brothers, George O'Shields, Hoy O'Shields, L.G. O'Shields and Joseph Paul O'Shields; and six sisters, Beaulah Frasure, Ruth O'Shields, Ruby O'Shields, Ella Craver and Macie McCall and Mary Grace O'Shields.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family received friends on Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
