Here is that great video that I hope you will take just a few moments to listen to that Jimmy Weldon performed at our For the Troops Gala a few years ago, we were all blessed to be in the audience when he performed the Flag Presentation. The perfect thing to watch this Memorial Day! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Akfd9xYMSs4

Mike Schaefer, Member, State Board of Equalization here; Jimmy was a great Hollywood-Los Feliz Kiwanis member, often sharing lunch and comradship with us, often speaking to clubs on patriotic topics, always a duck greeting(his nexus to fame). A nicer guy and more loyal friend you would not find. Salute! dear friend, so proud of your life. City of Burbank(his home) had a Jimmy Weldon day in formal Council session. MS

I first saw Jimmy on TV in Fresno, CA. A great man of God that could befriend a little nobody like me. We attended the same church and continued a long distance friendship when he and Muriel moved to LA. I do miss him, but know we will meet again when I get called home to heaven.

Jimmy andI were buddies in the 80's & 90's. He was extremely intelligent, an accomplished private "Bonanza" pilot, a great friend and a wonderful patriot. Besides his his acting and radio work, he was a very successful motivational speaker. Even after his wife Muriel passed away, he had more energy and zest for life than anyone I'd ever met. He was "one of a kind" and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Mr. Weldon,
Last we talked was prior to the PANDEMIC and we laughed about those earlier days.
The show (KSBW 8) (Salinas, Ca.) during the late 60’s. We both remembered the studio and that one afternoon with the kid playing his accordion. Honed my sense of humor.
You are partly responsible for my dismissal from one agency prior to securing my retirement. We talked about visualizing prisoner transport and upon arrival just how long a night the custodial staff was in for after 45 minutes of practice on the ride to booking “We Want You All To Know ..” (theme song)!
Puts a smirk on my face to this very day, 60 years after the show. Retirement issue: Worth every lost dime based on entertainment value.
Only you and I could laugh at my seven year old honesty at comparing your fingers to my uncle Tony’s.
We had fun and IT AIN’T OVER YET, my Friend.

Oh, Jimmy. I’m so glad I was able to speak with you on your last birthday. I know my daughter Jessica misses you as much as we all do. I’ll see you again some day and it will be just as if it was yesterday. Love you, Jimmy.
