Anthony "Tony" Zaenglein Obituary
Anthony "Tony" Zaenglein, 70, residing in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, died on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, surrounded by family in Firelands Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Anthony was born on May 22, 1946, in Lima. He was the son of the late Paul and Margaret (Vaubel) Zaenglein.
He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War.
Anthony is survived by four children: Brett Zaenglein, Sitka, Alaska; Kim Luna, Phoenix, Ariz.; Jill Zaenglein (Al Nunez), Enterprise, Ala., and Rita (Kevin) Oakleaf, Sidney; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at noon and followed by military services at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Giffin Chapel at the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Toft Funeral Home and Crematory, Sandusky. Memorials can be made to the Ohio Veterans Home Activity Fund, Sandusky. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting ToftFH.com.
