Helen D. Nuss, 91, of rural New Knoxville, died at 11:22 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center Hospice, Lima. |
She was born on Jan. 19, 1925, in Auglaize County, the daughter of Leon and Louetta (Stroh) McCullough, who preceded her in death.
On March 9, 1946, she married Paul V. Nuss, and he died on Jan. 3, 2001.
Survivors include three children, Karen (Jim) Kohler, Wapakoneta, Ken (Jamie) Nuss, New Knoxville, Kathy (Karsten) Blume, Maumee; four grandchildren: Michael Kohler, Sheryl (Les) Honaker, Kendallyn Nuss, and Krystle Blume; and two great-granddaughters Emily and Angela Honaker.
Helen was a homemaker and a member of the New Knoxville United Methodist Church. She was a 1938 graduate of New Knoxville High School. Her hobbies included gardening, embroidery, and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave., (Ohio 501) Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Dennis Gaertner officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service, Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the
