Kay Teeters, 69, of 1315 Kimberly Drive, St. Marys, died at 7:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at St. Ritas Medical Center, Lima.|
She was born on Dec. 11, 1947, in Lima, the daughter of Albert and Ann (Pepple) Prueter.
She married Richard Teeters on April 26, 1970, and he survives at the residence.
She is also survived by her son Matthew Teeters of St. Marys and by her brother, Kyle (Ann) Prueter of Perrysburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kay was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and the Ohio State University. She was a special education teacher for the St. Marys City Schools and was currently serving at West Intermediate School in St. Marys. She was a 4-H adviser for the Pin Cushion Pals Club. She was an excellent seamstress and she loved crafting with her husband, Richard. She was a member of the Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St. Marys.
Funeral rites will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys. Burial will follow at Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Auglaize County 4-H.
