Lillie Mae Huber, 89, of Wapakoneta, went to be with her Lord at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at the Auglaize Acres. |
She was born on Aug. 19, 1927, in Shelby County, the daughter of William R. and Nellie L. (Pittsenbarger) Duebner, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Virgil Snavely. She was married to Bryce Huber, and he is deceased.
Survivors include a brother, Jacob (Thelma) Deubner, St. Paris; a brother-in-law, Burns Wren, St. Marys; and many nieces and nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Glenna Babcock and Mary Lou Wren, and a brother, William Raymond "Bill" Deubner Jr.
Lillie worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, St. Marys, and had worked as a waitress at area restaurants. She was a member of the Wapakoneta Baptist Church. Lillie enjoyed working crossword puzzles and loved her animals, especially her cat "Scooter." She also loved the Auglaize Acres and all the people there.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (Ohio 501), Wapakoneta, the Rev. Phillip DeLorme officiating. Burial will follow in the Houston Cemetery, Houston.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Wapakoneta Baptist Church or to the Auglaize County Humane Society.
