Barbara Rector Obituary
Henderson, KY
Barbara Hope Rector, age 64, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 7:10 AM, Friday, August 19, 2016, at her home.
Barbara's father was a member of the Carpenter's Union and her mother was a bookkeeper. She lived in Henderson, where she graduated from City High School in 1969. Barbara worked in the billing department at Methodist Hospital and later on the switchboard retiring in 1995. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She was an excellent seamstress and loved doing alterations, making clothing and quilts. She enjoyed country music and Barbra Streisand.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Thermon Hope and her mother Carolyn Frasier.
Survivors include: Husband of 46 years: David Rector; 2 Daughters: Rendy Dixon and her husband Dave, Betsy Tillotson; 1 Brother: Mike Hope and his wife Lisa; 4 Granddaughters: Madison, Clara, Jessie & Macie; Step-Father: Bobby Frasier; Step- Mother: Jean Hope; Step-Brothers: Butch Frasier, Robbie Frasier, John Hyde, Willie Hyde, Michael Hyde; Step-Sisters: Rhonda Fulkerson, JoAnn Frasier, Rosie Mitchell, Debbie Green.
A memorial service will be held at Cherry Hill Baptist Church in Robards, KY from 4:00- 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Burial will be at a later date in Smith Mills Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to The American Cancer Society.
