Carl V. 'Curly" Bugg, 85, of Reed, KY passed away on January 26, 2017 at his home. He was born on July 29, 1931 in Henderson Co., KY. He was a farmer for S.S. Wathen and retired from the County Road Department. He enjoyed riding thru the bottoms, watching UK basketball, fishing, and spending time with the grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents Edgar Claude and Ella Mae (Thompson) Bugg, a sister Dorothy Purcell, and a brother Earl Bugg. He is survived by his wife of 42 and half years Kathy Bugg; a son Mike (Debbie) Haire of Reed; 2 daughters: Carla (David) Abbott of Henderson and Lea (Phillip) Meredith of Reed; 3 sisters: Betty Carter of Smith Mills, Minnie Meredith of Reed, Barbara Whitledge of Dixon; 7 grandchildren: Codie, Seth, Amber, Tabby, Chris, Harley, and Brittany; 6 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 29, 2017 at 2:00PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev Barry Skaggs officiating. Pallbearers will be David Abbott, Codie Abbott, Seth Abbott, Mike Haire, Harley Haire, and Chris Trent. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Meredith, Nick Payne, Brad Greenwell, Andy Meredith, and Carla Abbott. Visitation will be Saturday 3:00PM-8:00PM and Sunday 10:00AM-2:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Reed, KY. Online condolences can be made at www.tomblinsonfuneralhome.com.
