Donald Markus Woods, Jr., affectionately known as "Lil Man" was born on May 4, 1994 to Dietra Jones and Donald Woods, Sr. in Joliet, Illinois. He passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
Donald loved life and was the life of the party. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He was full of joy and always smiling, joking and laughing. His smile could light up any room. He was very close to his mother and siblings.
Donald is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Debra Ann Jones; paternal grandfather, Donald Griffin; and two great uncles, David Woods and Jeff Jones.
Donald leaves to cherish his loving memories; his parents, Dietra Jones and Donald Woods, Sr.; one son, Daedrian Woods; one sister, Te'Najah Anderson; three brothers, Dohndray, A'marion and Da'Marian Woods; grandparents, Cassell Chambers, Sandra Woods-Buyno (Jerry); uncles, Deddrick Jones, David and LeVar Woods; aunts, Tennille Jones, LaRita and Shalonda Woods, Konika and Shawanda Morrow, Cherese Chambers-Bereal; god-mother, Demetrea Massey; god-sisters, Tatianna Massey, Ieesha Norfleet; extended family, Mariah Hernandez, Anita Robinson, Brianna Marble, Patricia Caesar; best friends, DeVontae Fox and Jasmine Tristan and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 9:00 AM, followed by service at 10:00 AM at St. John M.B. Church, 104 E. Zarley Blvd., Joliet, IL, Pastor Herbert Brooks, Jr., officiating. Interment at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
