Clark D. Travis, Jr. "Mundy", age 49, of Lockport, IL passed away suddenly August 1, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clark D. Travis, Sr. of Lockport, IL; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Clark leaves to cherish in his memory; his loving mother, Wenonah Travis of Lockport, IL; six children, Clark D. Travis III (Talline) of Memphis, TN, Ivanna, Xavier, Aramis, Dylan, and Addison Travis all of Joliet, IL; five siblings, LaMellis (Jesse) McCormick and Deneen Ford of Joliet, IL, LaCheryl Travis of Oswego, IL, Sonja Moss of Brooklyn, NY, and Julius Turner of Lockport, IL; three grandchildren, Stephen Hayes Jr. (PJ), Zayden Travis, and Zakhi Hayes whom he loved dearly; a host of nieces and nephews who will truly miss him, and a very special uncle, Charles Travis and family of Lockport, IL.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church, 18101 W. Oak Avenue, Lockport, IL. Service at 11:00 AM, Pastor Richard D. House, officiating. Private interment.

Me and Munday went to Prom and we never dated but he was the best guy ever! Me him and Sharon williamson use to set around my house and talk about what he did when his mom sent him to church. When you seen him coming he always had that smile and you know after that it was straight jokes! He is really gone to soon! RIH

Mundy was the most down-to-earth human being I have ever met! I don't think he ever met a stranger. He was warm and inviting and always had a smile on his face. I saw him on Thursday, and then he was gone on Sunday! I'm so glad we had a chance to share a few laughs and talk about the days before we were grandparents! Rest in Heaven Mundy, you will truly be missed.

It's hard to say goodbye to one of the realest brothers born, with one of the biggest hearts. I was just telling some friends how you just started calling our mother "Mom", when she called and the first thing that she said was Mundy just started calling me mom and he was always nice to me.
