Louis Carnaghi Obituary
Carnaghi, Louis J. 1917-2013; Passed away September 9, 2013 at home in Tulsa, OK. He was born in Joliet, IL to Ceaser and Enrichetta Carnaghi on June 28, 1917. Lou attended Joliet Township schools, graduating from J.T.H.S., class of 1936. Lou enlisted in the Marine Corps the week after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and served proudly in the Pacific Theatre. Upon returning from "the War" Lou served a carpentry apprenticeship and worked at his trade until retiring in 1983. In 1958 he started his own contracting business and built many custom homes in Will and Grundy counties. On June 28, 1952 (his birthday), he married Marjorie Melby. They bore one son, Gary, and were happily married for 55 years, until Marge's passing in 2007. The couple moved to Tulsa in 1989. In addition to his beloved "Margie", Lou was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Sheehan and nephew James L. Phinney. He is survived by his son Gary of Tulsa. Lou was interred in Tulsa on September 10th.
