Sequita Monique Walsh, affectionately known as, Quita, was born on November 7, 1981 to Detrich (Chuck) Walsh and Pearly Holmes in Joliet, IL. She departed this life tragically on July 9, 2016.
Quita attended local public schools and was recently employed as a home health care provider. She was known to many as a fun and outgoing person who enjoyed making others smile. Majority of her time was spent with family and friends, she was adored by kids.
Quita is preceded in death by her father, Pearly; son, Taj'zeare; maternal grandparents, James and Mary Lee Walsh; uncle, James Walsh; aunt, Serena Walsh; and two dear cousins, Keyshaunna Lucas and Sharquece Baker.
She leaves behind her loving mother; and four brothers, Edward Williams, Anthony (Amber) Carter, Xavier Ross and Robert Johnson. She also leaves behind a longtime companion, Jermaine Holifield and close friends, LeToya Washington, Antwan Edwards and Ingrid Davis; along with a host of relatives and friends. She will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 402 Singleton Pl., Joliet, IL. Service at 11:00 AM, Rev. Dr. David G. Latimore, officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
