Elizabeth Tate-Odom, affectionately known as Lisa was born on December 8, 1965 to Charlie and Earnestine Tate in Kankakee, IL.

Elizabeth departed this life on January 7, 2018 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by a son, Demetrius Tate and a daughter, Jasmine Young; uncles, Jessie Lee Robinson and Arthur James Tate, Willie James Tate; grandparents, Andrew and Lilly Bell Tate, maternal grandmother, Fannie Mae Fisher; aunt, Clementine Youngblood, and Josephine Herring (Eddie).

Elizabeth leaves to mourn her home-going; three sons, Maurice Lamar Tate (Elyesha),Jeramy Bernard Tate, Deonte Marquise Tate (Jasmine), of Joliet; step-daughter, Lonnya Odom, of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, Daisha Tate, Jeramy Tate Jr., Peyton Tate, Reese Tate, Rylee Tate; two brothers, Charlie Tate Jr. of Arizona and James Eugene Smith of Milwaukee; two twin sisters, Marquitta Sherice Garrett (Mario) and Melissa Latrice Smith of Milwaukee; her loving father, Charlie Tate Sr. (Mary) and mother, Earnestine Smith; several step siblings, aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Holy Cross M.B. Church, 1310 Cutter Ave., Joliet, IL. Service at 11:00 AM, Pastor Victor L. Flowers, officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
