DelRose, Emanuel C. "Manny" Age 84. At rest Thursday, April 4, 2013 at his home with his loving family by his side. Preceded in death by his parents, Giovanni and Francesca (nee Centorino) DelRosa; one sister, Phyliss Robicheau; and his loving aunt, Sabina (Joe) DelRose. Survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Ida (nee D'Orazio) DelRose of Plainfield; devoted father of Lorraine DelRose and Robert DelRose of California, Jina DelRose of Joliet, Gina (Mark) Kulesza of Naperville, Angelo (Terrie) Proia of Joliet, and Lisa (Dennis) Carey of Plainfield; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Connie (Louise) DelRose, John (Eleanor) DelRosa and Joe (Rusty) DelRosa all of Massachusetts; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Born in Watertown, MA, he had resided in Joliet the past 35 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII from 1940-1944. He retired from the City of Watertown, MA. Member of the American/Italian Cultural Society of Crest Hill, the Church of St. Anthony, Joliet, and was a Diamond Member of Harrah's Casino. He was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan; and loved playing a good game of cards. Manny was a true people person, who touched the lives of many. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Jason Suh and the staff of JOHA for their kind and compassionate care. Funeral Services for Emanuel C. DelRose will be Monday, April 8, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet to the Church of St. Anthony for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice, the JOHA Foundation or the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated. Visitation today, Sunday 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
