Jane F. Rogan "Janie" (nee: Bowers), age 69, of New Lenox, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, December 5, 2017, after a long, courageous and brave battle with her devoted family by her side.

She was born in Belleville, IL, raised in Lockport and resided in New Lenox the past 47 years. Janie retired in 2014 after 47 years of service from Silver Cross Hospital as a Microbiologist. She graduated from St. Frances Academy, Joliet and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of St. Francis.

She traveled extensively throughout Europe; she enjoyed golfing; loved listening to Opera music and attended the Opera House, Chicago often with her beloved mother; an avid sports fan of all sports, especially the Cubs and was blessed to see them win the World Series.

Preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Franklin and Frances (Urban) Bowers; a brother in infancy, Tommy Bowers (1949); three aunts, Sister Mary Urban, SSND, Sister DeLourdes, SSND and Eleanor Urban.

Survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Daniel Rogan; brothers-in-law, Edward (Paula) Rogan, Michael (Charlotte) Rogan and Gerald "Patrick" (Maureen); and sister-in-law, Maureene (Ron) Scott. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends, along with her loving cats, also survive.

Per Janes Wishes, cremation rites were respectfully addressed.

A Memorial Services celebrating Janie's life will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in the O'Neil Funeral, 1105 E. 9th St., (159th St.), Lockport from 10:30am until time of Prayers at 12:30am. Inurnment immediately following prayers at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
