Jerald Paul Menozzi
Jerald Paul "Jerry" Menozzi, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center under the loving care of his Hospice nurse, Lisa.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Rosylee Anne "Rose" (nee McKeon); children, Marcia Anne (John) Wood, Jerald Paul Jr. "Jay" (Angela) Menozzi and Maria Anne Addison; grandchildren, John Wood, Katelyn (Brian) Rathbun, Anna, Alyssa, Andrew, Leah and Jillian Wood, Vincent, Nina and Clara Menozzi and David (Fallyn) Addison; great-grandchildren, Liam, Lillian and Adaline Rathbun; loving sister-in-law, Pauline Anne (the late John) Pucel; numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his mother, Rose (nee Johnston) Menozzi (1943); daughter in infancy, Laurene Anne (1959); loving-in-laws, William and Anna McKeon; and loving sister-in-law, Anne Joan (Laverne) Vollmer.
Jerry was born and raised in Joliet, IL and a 1956 graduate of Joliet Township High School. He was employed by Coca-Cola for 10 years and K.A. Steel Chemicals in Lemont for 10 years. Jerry was a parishioner of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Crest Hill. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry's name to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 205 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated.
A celebration of Jerry's life will begin on Sunday, October 22, 2017 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 7:00 p.m. Per Jerry's wishes cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Interment will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville where the family invites relatives and friends to join them for a committal service at 11:30 a.m. in the cemetery chapel.
