Ken was a Proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an accomplished musician and mastered the art of playing trombone. His legacy of music will live on in the many recordings he made during his musical avocation. Among the many bands he played are the following

1) Joliet Township Band

2) USAF Tops in Blue

3) American Legion Band

4) The Hot Peppers of Jazz

5) The Dixieland Allstars

6) Brass Tracks

Ken was a good time Charlie, who had a twinkle in his eye, a laugh in his heart and was always the life of the party. He was a proud practical jokester who liked nothing more than to get one over on you. Loved by all who knew him, especially his granddaughters who took great delight in calling him Grumpa. Although he loved his family and his dog, he loved nothing more than his wife Maureen. He missed her greatly and is finally back by her side, pestering her and loving every moment of it.

A luncheon is being held in the honor of Ken's life at Merichka's Restaurant in Crest Hill, IL on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019 at 1:00 pm.

Although distanced from iL at this time, I am saddened to hear the news of Ken.
His memory will live on as I recall his special abilities with his trombone, and his funny personality that always greeted me.
He is with his beloved Maureen. For this I am thankful.

In sympathy to Michael and the Family,
Mary Jane Whiteside
