Michelle M. "Shell" Herron, age 35, late of Lockport, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Joliet, lifelong Lockport resident.
Employed by Konica Minolta Business Solutions. A very faithful member of Parkview Christian Church, Lockport. She volunteered at Morning Star Mission, Joliet and at Cancer Survivor Network where she helped and supported cancer survivors.
Michelle was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and dear friend. Shell was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her; she fought and beat two courageous battles with Leukemia (ALL); regardless of all the pain and suffering she always had a smile on her face. She loved water, swimming, boating but most of all cherished her time spent with her son, sister, family and many friends.
Preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Arthur Stillwell; paternal grandparents, Buck and Frances Herron.
Survived by her loving son, Jamey Studnicka; mother, April Herron; father, Ron Herron; one sister and best friend, Julie Herron; one brother, Michael Herron; maternal grandmother, Ann Marie Stillwell. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial to the James Arthur Studnicka Education Fund would be appreciated.
Prayers will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014, in the funeral home chapel, at 9:30 a.m., before proceeding to Chapel Hill Garden South Cemetery, Oak Lawn for interment. Visitation will be held Friday, August 29,2014, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel, 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport, from 3:00 p.m., until time of Funeral Services at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Brian Hunt of Parkview Christian Church, Lockport officiating.
