She was born May 14, 2013 in Lafayette, the daughter of James Foster Jr. and Ashley Pinkston.
Skylar was one of the lights of her family's life. She always had a smile to share and love to spare. She had unconditional love for all of her family and she showed us all in many different ways. If you had a cracker, she was your best friend. We will be forever heartbroken.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother, whom she loved the most of all, Ryan Foster, Lafayette; aunts and uncles, Jennifer Foster, Indianapolis, Nicole and Tristan Pinkston, Lafayette, Josh and Liz Pinkston, Dawn Pinkston, and Douglas Rock, Vincennes; great-great-grandmother, Martha Oliver, Lafayette; great-grandmothers, Judy Pinkston, Otterbein and Sandy Dyer, Linden; great- grandparents, Howard and Sondy Rock, Reynolds; grandmothers, Fonda Rock, Dorissa Foster and Tina Dyer, Lafayette and Sam Scott, Monticello; grandfather, Michael Yocum, Monticello; and many extended family members.
Skylar was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Robert "Pink" Pinkston; great-grandmother, Joyce Rock; and grandfathers, Robert "Bobby" Pinkston and James Foster Sr.
The family would like to thank Riley Hospital ICU for their Tender Loving Care during their time of need. Fly High "Chunkin".
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the 10 a.m. service on Monday at Hippensteel Funeral Home, 822 N. Ninth Street, Lafayette, with Chaplain Zachary Rainey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, stuffed animals would be appreciated. Stuffed animals will be donated to Riley Hospital, Lafayette Police Department, and Child Protective Services. Monticello drop-offs are at Today's Headlines, 217 N. Main Street and Bank of Wolcott, 116 N. Sixth Street, both of Monticello, and Hippensteel Funeral Home, 822 N. Ninth Street., Lafayette.
