Shirley A. Jennings, 71, Monticello died at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center.

She was born July 13, 1939 at Lafayette to the late Walter and Ethel (Shultz) Jennings.
Shirley was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Saviour where she was very active with the Braille workers of the church. She also served as church treasurer for many years. She was a member of the Psi Iota Xi sorority. She retired from FSA after 44 years of employment.
Survivors include sisters, Zelda Jennings, Monticello, and Ruth (Dale) Dahlenburg, Reynolds; brothers, Fred Jennings, Monticello, Don (Nancy) Jennings, Monticello, and Ralph (Linda) Jennings, Monticello; nephews, Steve Jennings, Mark Jennings, Kirt Dahlenburg and Keven Jennings; and nieces, Trina Ersoy, Susie Kindig, Debbie Morris and Julie Denton.
She is also preceded in death by a nephew, Phil Jennings.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home and also Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, Monticello. A Psi Iota Xi sorority service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m., Saturday at the church with Pastor John Gore Officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Reynolds.
Memorials may be given to Lutheran Church of Our Saviour or to a charity of the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available.
